While experience as an offline copywriter may give you a head start, there is still plenty to learn about the very specific ways in which copywriting online is different.

Which brings me to a question I’m often asked: “Okay, I’m trained as an online copywriter … but does this mean I am now qualified for both B2C and B2B clients?”

The quick and simple answer is yes. The fundamentals of online copywriting apply to both B2C and B2B.

But there are certainly differences in how those skills are applied.

Let’s take a look at both the differences and similarities between online copywriting for B2B and B2C. And we’ll start with the similarities.
