A freelancer’s life is tough. Sure, you can set your own schedule, work in your pajamas or bathrobe, and take time off whenever you want.
But therein lies a problem, too.
Beware the writer’s life!
Umm, wait a minute, you say. I thought we wanted to live the writer’s life. Isn’t that the point?
Yes, we all want to live the so-called writer’s life. But no, that isn’t the point. The writer’s life means different things to different people — in that sense, it’s more of a feeling or attitude than a professional designation. If anything, it means that we feel enabled to live life how we want and do the things that matter most to us.
But there’s a trap here that many of us fall into.
