5 Ergonomic Tips for Freelance Writers

After more than 20 years pounding a keyboard, my body is starting to show the wear and tear. In the last two years, I’ve had to see my physiotherapist and registered massage therapist for a variety of injuries all stemming from my time as a writer. And those are just the immediate issues.

There are numerous studies indicating sitting for prolonged periods of time is bad for our long-term health. Our bodies were simply not designed to sit for hours at a time, but with our work as freelance writers, it’s hard to avoid.

The good news is that just a few ergonomic adjustments to your work environment will make things safer for you and not impact your productivity.
