Recently, I realized some of my invoices were paid out of order — which meant some of them were missed.
For that particular client, I do a lot of smaller projects, sometimes multiple per week. And I send an invoice after finishing each set of two or three small projects.
Some would be paid right on time, while others would get missed for weeks. So, eventually I asked about a new way to invoice that was different from the original plan in our contract.
