Reality Blog: Get Results Using a Better Word Than “Success”

We are all striving for it, aren’t we?

Success is the reason we study, practice, and work as hard as we do.  Whether you ask a complete novice or an experienced copywriter, success is the end goal.

That’s the problem with the word success; its direct opposite is the word failure. And those two choices don’t leave much of a gray area to cling to as you get your business up and running.

For me, the harder I tried to be “successful,” the more I felt like a failure. Last April, I changed my entire business mindset by changing a single word in my vocabulary. That word, and the rest of the details below.

  • Thanks Curtis, you have hit the nail on the head as we are all obsessed with that word in our heads and defining it as progress instead allows us to remove some of the pressure we experience when defining how our copywriting businesses are proceeding.
