I’m going to divulge my secret strategy for connecting with my ideal prospect.

This is one of my favorite activities on LinkedIn to draw attention to myself… while promoting someone else.

You’ve likely heard of self-promotion, right?

But perhaps the thought of tooting you own horn makes you feel obvious and a little exposed. And if you’re the introverted type, it’s that much more difficult.

But what if I told you tooting your own horn isn’t that bad?

And that you can do it using someone else’s trumpet?

Yes, it’s possible. It can almost elevate you to hero status in the eyes of your prospective client. I’ve even given this strategy a name.

In this article:

  • What stealth promotion is
  • How to use stealth promotion effectively
  • The art of follow-up in stealth promotion

Are you ready to rock this powerful LinkedIn strategy?

Let’s do it.

  • Steve, this is extremely helpful and makes total sense when you lay it out this way. I had started to think along these same lines when I was at a virtual conference last week and was afterwards reached out to several of the presenters who made particularly interesting and valuable presentations. But I couldn’t quite figure how to put all the pieces together. Thank you!
